A while back I mentioned that I would be doing some research into the IDM 'phenomenon' and its audience for my A Level Sociology coursework. Whether the term 'IDM' is still applicable today, since the the development of the music from the Artificial Intelligence series, who knows, but you all understand what I mean otherwise you wouldn't be on the list!
I would be greatly endetted if you could take the time out to answer a few questions I have put together to give me a picture of the average 'IDM listener'. If you think the questionnaire could be modified in any way, please feel free to tell me, this isn't purely closed question and you can be quite open ended. By IDM I am not solely confining it to encompassing extremely obscure artists, just artists that have been put into this genre. Also, any questions you feel are an invasion of your privacy and you wouldn't like answer, just leave blank. Of course this will be kept completely confidential but I will report back to the list on my general findings if you'd like that.
